Fastlane Glassgate 400 is an IP optical turnstile that deters, controls, and obstructs access into secure areas. Six-foot high, locking barriers prevent intruders from pushing through or leaping over them. With a credential or when set up for free egress, the gates will open to allow one user through in the approved direction. Subsequent authorized users can quickly pass through with a credential (or in “free exit”) without the barriers closing. Intruders attempting to tailgate or pass through open barriers will be accurately alarmed by Fastlane’s unique, advanced optical technology.
At exit lanes in airports, Glassgate 400 can automate the security by replacing security officers stationed to protect the exit from invalid entries. Optimal design includes walls and transoms to enclose the exit portal and a series of two Glassgate 400s so that one can lock if the first one on the public side is breached. Arriving travelers easily pass through Glassgate 400 as the lanes are set up for free exit to the public side. Multiple exit “channels” are recommended for redundancy and to accommodate specific airport traffic volumes.
