The Coyote Sensor and Communication System is a wireless, mesh-based sensor system that is used to detect, analyze, and classify seismic movement as human or vehicle and discriminate against false alarms from fauna and the environment. Alerts are transmitted to a server and/or a 3rd party operator, to promote border security, infrastructure protection, perimeter monitoring, and force protection.
The system architecture is flexible. The Coyote System can be scaled to include a few sensors, or scaled for nationwide deployments with thousands of sensors in the network. The mesh technology enables placement of the sensors in difficult radio frequency environments that are not conducive to traditional hub and spoke communication architecture. They can be placed to cover radar gaps or as picket fence, long-line perimeter security.
